We are excited to announce the MIT Visual Computing Workshop 2021! This is the first workshop since the launch of the Visual Computing (VC) Community of Research. We aim to get the VC community connected and heard from each other.

We invite all the MIT VC faculties and students to join this workshop! This year, we are glad to have Professor Jessica Hodgins and Professor Alexei Efros join our workshop. They will give a presentation about "Failures in Research" and have a discussion with participants after the talk.

The purpose of this virtual workshop is to promote cross-group communications and collaborations. We also host Mutual Karaoke Presentation Session allowing each presenter to give a 4-minute overview of the other presenter's research project. Paired presenters will meet ahead of time and discuss the main points to be covered in just 4 minutes. We anticipate this to help participants get a quick impression on research in other groups that they might be interested in.
